Dear Parents and Teachers,
My Adventures is a commercial-free space for children and youth featuring Fishscale Girl™ (La Chiquita Escamosa™), a character in a children’s book series. (My books links to the publisher’s web site, where you can order copies of the books and supplemental resources, but this site remains commercial free.)
Fishscale Girl is a doll made by Rosita, a young girl who is a member of the Yagua Community in the Peruvian Amazon rainforest; this blog is written by Cate, a teenager who lives in Iowa. Two environments — two cultures – one world!
I invite you and your children to subscribe to this web site and join us as we build bridges between cultures and support the education of the rainforest’s children — future stewards of one of the great resources of our world.

Children and youth are invited to submit stories for publication at this site. Adults, please complete a comment on this page on behalf of the child/ren with your email address, and I will contact you and explain how to submit stories and artwork.
Please help us get these books into schools and public libraries. Download this flyer and take it to your local school or public librarian. It has the information needed for ordering the books. Thank you.
Teachers may download these handouts from the Minnesota ESL, Bilingual & Migrant Education Conference held in May, 2012.
